Happy Easter

“Did Jesus Really Live Again?” (Children’s Songbook, 64):

Did Jesus really live again?
Yes, when the third day came,
He wakened and he left the tomb;
He called Mary’s name.

Did Jesus come to those he loved?
Yes, people touched his feet,
And of the fish and honeycomb
He did truly eat.

And there were nail-prints in his hands
And a spear wound in his side.
Did Jesus really live again
After he had died?
Oh yes! And so shall I!

We had a wonderful Easter. It was our Stake Conference. Bishop Edgley was here and asked that everyone in the stake, including the youth, prepare a talk and to expect to be called on to speak. I was against the idea at first, but the scripture "if ye are prepared ye shall not fear" kept coming to my mind and decided it would be best to prepare something. I didn't get called upon to speak, but those who did really did a great job and the Spirit was felt very strongly by those who were prepared.

Olivia did a small hunt on Friday with some friends.

I made her basket. I love how it turned out, however, its a little small, but it will do.

Olivia had a blast tearing into her basket. I made the springy skirt that she is wearing. We had a bit of a swimming theme since the weather has been so hot and we need to get wet. She got a new swim suit, bubbles, a blow up pool, and some bath letters/numbers.

We hope you all had a great Easter Holiday and took time to reflect on our Savior and His sacrifice for everyone of us.

My mom, Olivia and I went strawberry picking yesterday and we are so glad we did. We had a great time, mostly because we were able to just chat about anything and everything. We got a load of wonderfully sweet red strawberries. My mom has already made homemade jam and chocolate covered strawberries. I will be making jam tomorrow and Dallin can't wait to make some smoothies. Olivia was great and just played the whole time.

What We've Been Up To

We have been very busy lately. Living so close to both families means that we never have down time. Here are a few pictures of our happenings. Olivia started to crawl when she was 6 1/2 months old and hasn't slowed down since. She has officially started to stand up all the time on her own. She took a few steps for the first time two days ago and yesterday. We are excited, but I really wouldn't mind if it took her 6 more months before she started to walk. I know it looks like she is falling in this picture but she was standing straight up. Also if you notice there is nothing around her which means she stood up on her own. She gets really excited every time and starts to laugh and clap her hands. She really is too cute!

My parents gave us this beautiful armoire that we decided to paint to match our bed and put it in our bedroom. We also bought all the wood for the nightstands that we will be building for our bedroom. I am so excited to finally have furniture in our room. We feel like such grownups. And of course a picture of Olivia.
While my brothers were out of school for spring break my parents took a day off of work and decided to get the boat out for the first time this year. The weather was beautiful and we had a blast!! My brothers had a blast out on the wake board!
