Grandpa Visit

Two weeks ago my Dad had to come out to California for business. Since his appointment was only 30 minutes away from us he decided to stay and make a weekend visit of it. We were so happy to have him here and had a blast.

Olivia's new favorite word is now Bam-pa (grandpa). If she sees a picture of him or if the phone rings she will say his name over and over. She now associates the computer, because of skype, with Grandma and Grandpa and every time we open the laptop she thinks it should be time to skype and see them.

While Grandpa was here we decided to do some sight-seeing.

On Friday night we headed to the Oakland Temple. Just like most LDS temple the grounds are beautiful and the Oakland temple is no exception. It has beautiful fountains, a stream and amazing flowers. You are also able to walk on the roof at this temple and see the gorgeous view. We walked around and then wandered into the visitors center. There we were able to see the Christus (large statue of Christ) and a touching presentation about families.

On Saturday we started with the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Dallins company built the building and does projects on it every now and then so we were able to get some free tickets.

Later that day we headed to Pebble Beach to see the golf course and the beautiful drive. We were able to walk down the the 18th hole and Olivia had a blast just running as fast as she could.

We then headed to San Francisco City and did some shopping, some sight seeing, and some eating.

The next day we headed to church and then sent Grandpa on his way. We had an amazing time and can't wait to see all the grandparents in October.
