It feels like Cathrynn has been here for so much longer than a mere 3 weeks, yet I still can't believe it has already been 3 WEEKS!
Cathrynn was 6 lbs 14 oz when we left the hospital and was up to 7 lbs 2 oz the next morning. However, more than a week later she had only gained 2 oz so we had to keep a close eye on her, but she has now made it up to 7 lbs 11 oz. We still can't believe how tiny she is since Olivia came out at 8 lbs 14 oz. She is a little more needy than Olivia was and likes to be held and likes to have our attention. She doesn't sleep through the night like Olivia did, but we are learning to adjust to her and love that she is her own person. Overall she is a pretty content, happy baby. The jaundice is no longer a concern and she seems to be "perfect" as the pediatrician puts it every time we go to an appointment.
Olivia has completely taken over the big sister role. She loves to get things for the baby, be mommy's big helper and is always very concerned if Cathrynn cries. She is currently potty training. She practically does everything on her own (I know I am very spoiled). She has been ready for a while now, but I kept putting it off because of all the changes that would be happening. However, we have gone 4 days now with only a few accidents over that period of time and things seems to be going pretty smoothly!
Dallin has been an amazing, patient, hands on dad, as usual. We girls love when he is home!! We are very grateful, though, that he works so hard in order for me to stay home with the girls! He also has started to ref soccer games on the weekend and seems to enjoy it.
I am still trying to adjust to less sleep and more work. I keep saying, however, besides the lack of sleep nothing seems different. I feel that we have adjusted to having two kids, instead of one, rather easily and wouldn't change it for anything (except to add a few more in the next few years). Now its on to getting back into shape, wish me luck!
